Chris McKenzie is Of Counsel in the Asset Management and Banking and Finance practices at Deynecourt. Chris qualified as a solicitor of England and Wales in 1987 and has been practicing as an international offshore lawyer for the past 29 years. He spent considerable time living and working in the British Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands, initially managing and developing his own law firm, and then becoming a partner of the largest offshore firm globally, leading its BVI legal team in London for nearly ten years.

During this time, Chris has advised a wide array of banks, asset and fund managers, institutional investors, and various other financial institutions on the structuring of a broad range of investment fund vehicles and structures, including hedge funds, private equity, and property funds (both open and closed-ended), as well as their administration and regulation. Chris has also advised banks and other financial institutions on the provision of loan finance and other secured lending, as well as corporate and individual borrowers from all business sectors.

Chris is a Solicitor of England and Wales, as well as a full member of the Society of Trustees and Estate Practitioners (STEP) since 1996. He is admitted to the Luxembourg Bar as a Lawyer practising under his home jurisdiction professional title of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

Chris speaks English fluently and moderate French.
